Footage description
A male fallow deer (Dama dama) rests in tall grass with its developing antlers still covered in velvet in woodland habitat in Slovakia. Strong wind moves the surrounding vegetation while numerous small flying insects hover around the deer's head. The resting buck suddenly becomes alert, raises its head and listens before being startled, quickly rising and fleeing from the frame. After its departure, wind-blown grass and swarming insects remain visible in the scene.
