Footage description
Two fire salamanders (Salamandra salamandra) are observed in close physical contact in their natural habitat in Slovakia. One individual rests across the back of the other before beginning to move and apparently attempting to climb down, resulting in a prolonged close interaction between the two animals. The behaviour is documented without assigning a specific reproductive interpretation, as the observed sequence alone does not conclusively establish courtship or mating.
