Red Deer Fawn Resting in Forest Leaf Litter
Red Deer (Cervus elaphus) filmed in Slovakia.
Footage description
Close-up of a young red deer fawn (Cervus elaphus) resting quietly among dry leaves on the forest floor in May. The fawn gently raises its head before slowly lowering it back onto the leaf litter, which visibly settles beneath the weight of its head. Fine details of breathing are visible through the movement of its nostrils, while its ears occasionally flick as it remains resting in place. The fawn was encountered naturally while concealed on the woodland floor and was left undisturbed at the location after filming.
