Red Deer Fawn Resting with Head Raised on Forest Floor

Red Deer (Cervus elaphus) filmed in Slovakia.

Footage description

A young red deer fawn (Cervus elaphus) rests quietly among dry leaves and fresh vegetation on the forest floor in May. The fawn remains lying down with its head raised, revealing its characteristic spotted juvenile coat and large ears. A small fly is visible near the lower corner of one eye, adding a natural detail to the close view of the resting animal. The fawn was encountered naturally while concealed on the woodland floor and was left undisturbed at the location after filming.
