Red Deer Fawn Chewing and Flicking Its Ears at Flies
Red Deer (Cervus elaphus) filmed in Slovakia.
Footage description
Extreme close-up of a young red deer fawn (Cervus elaphus) resting on the forest floor in May. The fawn quietly chews while flies land around its head and ears, prompting repeated ear flicks. The tight framing reveals fine details of the face, eye, muzzle and juvenile coat, together with the subtle movements of the resting animal. The fawn was encountered naturally while concealed on the woodland floor and was left undisturbed at the location after filming.
