Four young red fox cubs (Vulpes vulpes) engage in lively social play outside their woodland den in Slovakia. The cubs chase and jump around one another, gently bite and paw at each other during repeated playful interactions. Partway through the sequence they move out of frame before returning together and continuing their activity near the den entrance. During the play, one cub jumps and tumbles backwards into the den before reappearing. Near the end, all four cubs suddenly run together out of frame in the same direction. The sequence provides an extended natural view of social play and interaction among wild red fox cubs at an active den site.
