A young red fox cub (Vulpes vulpes) sits outside its woodland den in Slovakia and repeatedly scratches its ear with a hind leg. The cub remains seated near the den entrance during the grooming behaviour before getting up and moving out of frame to the left near the end of the sequence. The footage provides a natural close view of everyday self-grooming behaviour in a wild fox cub at an active den site.
