European Roe Deer Group Grazing After Late Winter Snowmelt
Roe Deer (Capreolus capreolus) filmed in Slovakia.
Footage description
A group of wild European roe deer (Capreolus capreolus) grazing on a field beside woodland in Slovakia at the end of February. With the winter snow recently melted, the deer feed on newly accessible vegetation, while the nearest animal remains sharply focused in the foreground and other members of the group forage softly out of focus behind it. The footage documents group foraging and the seasonal transition from snowy winter conditions toward early spring.
