Footage description
A young male European roe deer (Capreolus capreolus) browsing among dense vegetation in a woodland thicket in Slovakia in late September. Partly concealed by branches, the buck feeds on woody vegetation and repeatedly stretches upward to reach leaves and shoots growing above its head. The footage documents natural browsing behaviour and shows how roe deer forage within dense woodland vegetation in early autumn.
