Tawny Owl (Strix aluco) filmed in Slovakia.

Footage description

A view of the natural nest cavity used by a breeding tawny owl (Strix aluco) in a large old willow tree beside a woodland stream in Slovakia. Filmed from the opposite side of the tree, the shot reveals the extensive weathered hollow, exposed decaying wood and surrounding spring vegetation. No owl is visible in this shot. The cavity was an active tawny owl nesting site and forms part of a documented breeding sequence recorded at the same location.
