Tawny Owl (Strix aluco) filmed in Slovakia.
Footage description
A side view of the natural nest site used by a breeding tawny owl (Strix aluco) in a large old willow tree beside a woodland stream in Slovakia. The shot shows the weathered trunk and broken decaying wood from a different perspective, surrounded by softly lit spring woodland. No owl is visible in this shot. The tree contained an active tawny owl nest cavity and forms part of a documented breeding sequence recorded at the same location.
