A small woodland stream flowing beside the natural nest site of a tawny owl (Strix aluco) in Slovakia. The active nest was located in a large old willow tree immediately beside the stream, within a varied wet woodland landscape of firm ground, small watercourses and marshy areas. No owl is visible in this shot. The footage provides environmental context for a documented tawny owl breeding sequence recorded at the same location.
